What is a StoryJam?

When storytellers gather, they love to share their tales, one story leading to another. “Have you heard this one?” they’ll ask, as they launch into a new story, and much like musicians jam, storytellers will share stories, until they have a StoryJam.

The StoryJam program has been developed to make it easy for teachers to bring storytelling into the classroom, and to link storytelling activities directly to the Oral Language outcomes described in the Ontario Curriculum.

So What's It Really All About?

The StoryJam program is dedicated to sharing the art of storytelling with young people, helping to create the next generaton of storytellers.

What is the StoryJam Co-op?

We are a group of professional storytellers, with backgrounds in education, child development, business, psychology and writing. The program we have developed allows teachers and group leaders to introduce storytelling to young people as a classroom or group activity.
